Yup! I said it!
Actually, I didn’t. I was just trying to get your attention! 🙂
I came across a post by Juicy J the other day that said,
“There is nothing wrong with paying a woman’s bills; we gotta stop this bullshit.” Before I go further, for those of you trying to figure out who the heck Juicy J is, he is a 47-year-old American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to coming across his statement, I, too, had never heard of Juicy J.
As a 51-year-old woman, I will admit that I am tired of proving that I am not looking for someone to take care of me.
So, I applauded Juicy J when I saw his statement. Not so much because I wanted him to set a precedent for women to get their bills paid. Fortunately, many of us women seem to have that whole bill-paying thing under control.
As I think about it, I cannot quite put what I feel into words, but I came across this comment in response to the Juicy J post that seemed to sum it perfectly to me:
It is about keeping a woman in her feminine energy of being all of those things a man wants.
Now, men, before you get your “drawers in a wad,” think about this. How many times have you said, “men are simple”? All we want is sex on demand, a good meal, and no drama.
Guess what? Most women are pretty simple too. If you have a woman you appreciate, don’t be so defensive when she expresses a desire for little tokens of appreciation. It’s okay to:
- Surprise her with flowers.
- Treat her to dinner and a movie.
- Buy the latest book she has been talking about reading.
- Take her car to the car wash and maybe surprise her with a tank of gas. (that might cost a small fortune right now so this suggestion can wait. :-))
- Give her a back rub.
- Take her to a play.
- Show up with a nice bottle of wine.
You get my point! Stop fearing that she is looking for a come-up and understand these things make her feel appreciated. It is not like she is asking you to buy her a 6,000 square foot home or a new “Lambo”. She is simply looking for some small token that lets her know you were thinking of her and that she matters. Simple, right? Simple acts of appreciation lead to an abundance of feminine energy, which in turn makes your life as simple as you want it to be. A win-win for everyone!
Now that I have “stirred the pot”, let me know what you think!
