I actually added a twist and included two black authors you might want to check out.

In this book, Isabel Wilkerson argues that America’s racial hierarchy should be thought of as a caste system, similar to what she calls “the world’s most recognized caste system” in India. R.H. Sin is constantly reminding women that self-care and self-love need to be their priority in life. I started following him on Instagram several years ago because I loved his direct reminders of what love and companionship should and should not look like. His books do the same.

What began as a 28-day photo campaign by Eunique Jones Gibson in 2013, where children appeared as iconic Black history figures of the past and present, has turned into an ongoing way to teach and refresh Black history while connecting the dots between the past, present and future.
